Whitney Ann Cummings was (born September 4, 1982), in Washington, D.C. Her father, Eric Lynn Cummings, worked as a Lawyer and Venture Capitalist, while her mother, Patricia, aka Patti, is a former Public Relations Executive. 

Cumming grew up in a dysfunctional, alcoholic household, and her parents divorced when she was just five years old. At 12, she moved to Virginia and started living with her aunt. Cummings’s older sister, Ashley Cummings, is a yoga teacher.
