Toke Makinwa, born on November 3, 1984, is a versatile Nigerian personality known for her roles as a radio host, television presenter, vlogger, lifestyle entrepreneur, actress, and author. She gained prominence for hosting The Late Morning Show on Rhythm 93.7 FM and her popular YouTube vlog series, Toke Moments.
In November 2016, she released her book, On Becoming, and has established herself as one of the top five African female show hosts.
Born in Lagos State, Toke Makinwa attended the Federal Government Girls’ College in Oyo State before pursuing a BA degree in English and Literature at the University of Lagos.
In 2010, she made her major media debut as a co-host on Rhythm 93.7 FM’s The Morning Drive show. Two years later, she hosted the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) beauty pageant, marking her television appearance.
Toke also co-hosted Flytime TV’s 3 Live Chicks alongside Tosyn Bucknor and Oreka Godis. Her YouTube vlog series, Toke Moments, was launched in 2012.
