Since leaving home at a young age, the actor had to start working to support himself. His childhood years and career path are detailed in his book, “Rise.”
In 1995, he moved to Lagos in search of work and found a job as an office assistant in a church in Ketu. It was here that he discovered his musical talent. When the church’s pianist relocated to England, and the pastor couldn’t afford to hire another, Femi stepped in and quickly learned to play the piano. He was soon hired as the music director and released three albums.
During his time in the church, a church group invited him to act in faith-based productions, where producers noticed his acting talent. This led him to enter the film industry and eventually land his breakthrough role as Makinde Esho in “The Meeting” alongside prominent actors such as Jide Kosoko and Rita Dominic.
