Babar Azam, a Pakistani international cricketer and captain of the Pakistan national cricket team, has shattered Virat Kohli, an Indian international cricketer, and South African former cricketer Hashim Amla’s feat.
The Pakistani cricket team went to the top of the ICC (International Cricket Council) Men’s ODI (One-Day International) Team Rankings with a win in Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan, in the fourth ODI against New Zealand.
On Friday, Babar Azam scored his 14th half-century in the fourth ODI match against New Zealand at the National Stadium in Karachi. He scored the fastest to 5000 ODI runs in his 96th ODI innings. The record was previously held by Hashim Amla, the cricketer who played for South Africa in all three formats of the game. The cricketer achieved the feat in 101 innings. Hashim Amla was one of the highest-paid cricketers in South Africa.

The Pakistani popular cricketer reached the milestone of 5000 runs in his ODI career on Friday. He completed the feat in just his 97th innings. With this move, he became the fastest-ever batsman to 5000 runs.
