Early life and Education
Ahmed was born on October 14, 1992, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. He was born to his parents; Sarah Musa (née Moses) who is a Christian from Edo State in the Southern part of Nigeria while his father hails from the North.
Musa attain his first school leaving certificate and SSCE at Saint Peace Primary School and Ihya’ul Islamic Secondary School respectively. After which he joined GBS Football Academy, where he kick started his football career.
Career
Ahmed Musa began his club career at GBS Football Academy where he played from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, he went on loan to JUTH. During the 2009/10 season, Ahmed Musa played on loan for Nigerian giants Kano Pillars. He played well at Kano Pillars netting 18 goals in 25 matches.
Ahmed Musa then sealed a transfer to Dutch side VVV Venlo, playing there between 2010 to 2012. Ahmed Musa’s most successful club campaign came at CSKA Moscow where he scored 42 goals in 125 matches for the Russian club between 2012 and 2016.
The premier League didn’t favour the Super Eagles forward as he could only managed five goals for Leicester before going back to CSKA on loan.
He went on to Al Nassr, where he found his scoring boots by netting 11 goals and 14 assists in 57 games across three seasons in Saudi Arabia.
