Enoch Adejare Adeboye, born March 2 1943, is a Nigerian Pastor and is the current General Overseer (Daddy GO) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He was once the national president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).

Early Life and Education
E.A. Adeboye born on March 2 1943 in Ifewara, near Ife, in the then Southern Region, British Nigeria is born into a very humble and God-fearing family.
Adeboye started and finish his primary and secondary school education at Ilesha Grammar School in his home town in 1956. He then went on to undergo his bachelor degree in the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) which didn’t end well due to the NIgeria Civil War as at that time. He completed his first degree in Obafemi Awolowo University formerly University of Ife bagging a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 1967.
Career
In 1973, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye joined the Redeem Christian Church of God. He quickly rose through the ranks from being an interpreter, becoming a pastor in 1975 and then General Overseer in 1981.
Under his leadership, the church became bigger in size. Before he became leader, it was largely unknown. Now, it has branches in nearly 200 countries and over 14 million worshippers in Nigeria alone. Pastor Adeboye’s goal is nice as he wants to put a church within easy reach of everyone at least 5 mins driving distance.
Pastor Adeboye is known for preaching the prosperity gospel, which focuses on God’s blessings in the present life. Although some criticize this message, he believes it’s important to talk about both heavenly rewards and earthly improvements. Even after new laws limited his leadership term, Pastor Adeboye continues to guide RCCG Worldwide, celebrating his 80th birthday and continuing with his donations to families in need.
