Born on July 4th, 1995, Austin Richard Post, better known as Post Malone, started his journey in Syracuse, New York. He was raised by his father and stepmother, music filled his childhood thanks to his DJ dad who introduced him to different genres among which are hip-hop to country and rock.
When he was nine, the family moved to Grapevine, Texas. His Dad’s new job managing concessions for the Dallas Cowboys kept them busy, but Post found his breakthrough in music.
Malone began to play the guitar and auditioned for the American band Crown the Empire in 2010 but was rejected after his guitar strings broke during the audition, but this didn’t stop his drive for music.
