Early life and Education
Bieber was born on March 1, 1994 in London, Ontario to18-year-old Pattie Mallette and 19-year-old Jeremy Bieber. His parents who were not married at the time, splitted up just right after his birth, though his father has remained actively involved in his life. Bieber grew up in Stratford with his mother, who worked a series of office jobs to provide daily meals for the family.
At an early age of four, Justin has developed big love/passion for music. He began to take on drum lessons as well as teaching himself how to play the piano, guitar and the trumpet.
At age 12, he performed a cover of a song titled “So Sick” by Ne-yo for a local singing competition in Stratford finishing as a runner-up. At age 13, Bieber moves to Atlanta with Braun and Usher, his future mentor, to record demos. Within weeks, Usher signs Bieber to his label, setting the stage for his global music career.
