Ngizwe was born in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal’s Nkandla area in 1985. His primary schooling history is unknown, it is also not know if he did or did not attend any higher institution.

He received great praise for his show Izindaba Zomzansi, which quickly became one of the station’s most popular programmes. Ngizwe Mchunu, however, was fired from Ukhozi FM in 2019 after it was alleged that he had violated a confidentiality clause by disclosing private information about the station’s activities without authorization.
In response to this regrettable event, Mchunu launched Ngizwe Mchunu FM, an internet radio station.
Mchunu overcame his professional disappointments by using this new venture as a platform to continue expressing his love of broadcasting and keeping a relationship with his audience.
