Leo mezie’s Illness and Death
For more than a year, Leo Mezie received false diagnoses of pneumonia, typhoid, and malaria; the drugs caused his kidneys to fail. He had to cry out for assistance when the cost of his care and renal dialysis became too much for him to bear. Apostle Johnson Suleman, his coworkers, and his supporters rallied to his aid, and money was donated for his medical care and kidney transplant.
After recovering, he spent several months in a hospital in London before travelling back to Nigeria in November 2016. Leo Mezie’s kidney issue reappeared in 2019. He was admitted to the hospital in Lagos. Leo Mezie reportedly passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, following his recuperation from a kidney transplant.

Leo Mezie was married to his ex-wife, Maureen Chimezie Onyemachi. She was a banker before their marriage in July, 2010. They had no children.
