Originally from Akwa Ibom state in Nigeria, Fiokee is the fourth of six siblings. His passion for music blossomed in his early years while singing in a church choir, where he mastered the solfa notation. Despite facing financial constraints, Fiokee started learning to play the guitar from a taxi driver. Eventually, he pursued a degree in mechanical engineering at Delta State in 2003, all the while honing his guitar skills by performing in church settings.
Career
After making his mark on a reality music competition show named Star Quest in 2008, Fiokee ventured to Lagos State and emerged victorious with his group Diamonds. This success propelled him into the limelight, leading to collaborations on popular tracks such as Simi’s ‘Simisola,’ Flavour’s ‘Thankful,’ and Patoranking’s ‘God Over Everything.’
