Scott Clinton Reeves, later known as Scott Eastwood, was born on March 21, 1986, at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula in Monterey, California, to actor-director Clint Eastwood and flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves. He has a younger sister, Kathryn, and six paternal half-siblings from his father’s previous relationships. 

Eastwood spent his early childhood in Carmel-by-the-Sea until age ten, before moving to Hawaii with his mother, where he spent four years. He then returned to California, graduating from Carmel High School, and later earned a communications degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in 2008.

Scott Eastwood initially pursued his acting career under his birth name, Scott Reeves, to avoid nepotism, despite sharing a similar name with another actor. He has auditioned for many of his father’s films, including American Sniper, but was rejected.
