Raised in a multicultural family, Cenat’s upbringing was influenced by his Trinidadian and Haitian heritage. Growing up with his mother and siblings – a twin sister named Kaiya, an older brother named Devonte, and a younger brother named Kaleel – he navigated challenges resulting in him dropping out of college in 2020 to focus on content creation.

Charged for inciting civil unrest, rioting, and unlawful assembly, Cenat later had the charges dropped in May 2024, along with two others, after offering an apology and paying $57,000 in restitution.
