Mercy Eke was born in Owerri, Imo State in the South East geopolitical zone of Nigeria where she hails from and grew up with her family.
She completed her secondary education at Egbu Girls Secondary School in Owerri and graduated from Imo State University in 2014.
Prior to her stint in Big Brother Naija, she made appearances as a vixen in music videos, including Davido and Ichaba’s “Baby Mama” and Airboy’s “Nawo Nawo”. Remarkably, Eke auditioned for Big Brother Naija on four occasions before finally becoming a contestant.
Joining the Big Brother Naija house on June 30, 2019, Eke emerged as the groundbreaking female winner of the show in October 2019. Following her victory in Season 4, she took on roles as an ambassador and influencer for diverse organizations.
In 2020, Eke marked her acting debut in the Nollywood film “Fate of Alakada.” Beyond acting, she has featured in short comedy skits alongside Nigerian comedians. Notably, she participated in Big Brother Naija All Star in July 2023.
