Parents and family

Barrister Joseph Adeleye Ojo, Wale Ojo’s father, had six wives, hence he grew up in a polygamous household. Wale’s parents divorced when he was still young and he was raised by his mother who was also an actor. His father passed away at the age of 91, after battling with cancer.

Career

At the age of nine, Wale Ojo began acting, and at the age of eleven, he wowed the audience at a Children’s Day event sponsored by UNICEF at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs. He made his UK debut in the east end of London in 1986, playing a teenage Othello. Ever since, Wale has graced stages all throughout the United Kingdom.

WNTV IBADAN, Africa’s first television station, included drama shows and soap operas, which helped Wale establish himself as a well-known actor in his early years.
