Born in Lagos on October 23, 1986, Charles Enebeli comes from a musical background. His father, Collins Enebeli, was a businessman and music production manager who founded Sagitarious Productions, while his mother, Patience Enebeli, made her mark as an international business tycoon. 

Growing up, D’Prince was exposed to the music industry early on, influenced by his family connections, including his older brother, the music mogul Don Jazzy, who is the CEO of Mavin Records. 

Known by his stage name D’Prince or “Omoba,” which translates to “Child of a King” in Yoruba, Charles Enebeli had his education at King’s College in Lagos. 

However, his true passion for music eventually led him to pursue a career in the industry, where he has made a name for himself as a versatile artist, record executive, and entrepreneur.

Career

D’Prince joined Mo’ Hits Records in 2005 under his brother Don Jazzy’s leadership. He worked on the album “Frenzy,” released in 2012. D’Prince contributed to the hit singles on the Mo’ Hits compilation album and released his single “Omoba” in 2009.

After Mo’ Hits dissolved in 2012, D’Prince moved to Mavin Records. He released singles like “Goody Bag,” “Call The Police,” and “Real G” featuring M.I Abaga, leading up to his debut album “Frenzy.” 

D’Prince was one of the artists featured on Mavin’s compilation album “Solar Plexus,” where his songs “Take Banana” and “Amarachi” stood out.

D’Prince has released several impactful songs over the years, with notable tracks like “OYO (On Your Own)” in 2014, featuring a powerful message produced by Don Jazzy. Another track, “Bestie,” released in 2015, featured collaborations with Don Jazzy and Babyfresh.

Personal Life

D’Prince, the Nigerian Afropop artist and record executive, became a father in 2015 when he had a child with Sharon Oparacho, who graduated from Coventry University in the UK. 

Their family grew in 2016 when they welcomed their second child. Speculation has circulated about D’Prince potentially being married to his partner and the mother of his children, Sharon Oparacho.
