He solidified his status as a trailblazer in Nigerian music, igniting fervent discussions and commanding attention on a scale not seen since the Martel Lamb cypher.
In October 2019, amidst the global pandemic, Blaqbonez’s EP “Mr Boombastic” stormed the charts, while his single “Haba” rallied supporters to #StreamHaba, showcasing his unrivaled influence in the digital realm. His latest offering, “Sex Over Love,” released in April 2021, garnered acclaim from industry heavyweights like Burna Boy and WizKid, earning a coveted spot on Rolling Stones’ list of Top Albums of 2021.
Blaqbonez’s music transcended borders, with tracks like “BBC” and “Shut Up” making waves internationally, featured on Showtime’s “Flatbush Misdemeanors” in 2021. Underscoring his meteoric rise, Blaqbonez sold out a 4,000 capacity venue for his headline concert, “Breaking the Yoke of Love,” in February 2022.
