Born in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, to a family of butchers, Scott Edward Adkins discovered his passion for martial arts at age 10, when he joined a local Judo club with his father and brother. After a robbery at 13, his interest intensified, leading him to start Taekwondo. By 16, he expanded his skills to Kickboxing, becoming a certified instructor and teaching at Fitness First. 

Adkins explored various disciplines, including Ninjutsu, Krav Maga, and Capoeira, drawing inspiration from iconic action stars like Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. He aspired to become an actor, captivated by these action heroes, with Bruce Lee being his initial inspiration and Van Damme a later influence.
