Christopher Tucker was born on August 31, 1971, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Mary Louise and Norris Tucker, as the youngest of six children. He discovered the power of humor at a young age, using it to stand out at school and home. 

His father, an entrepreneur, owned a janitorial service, and the family was part of the Church of God in Christ. Growing up in Decatur, Georgia, Tucker developed a passion for comedy, drawing inspiration from Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy.
