Early Life
Ski Mask the Slump God was born Stokeley Goulbourne on April 18, 1996, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Jamaican parents. He grew up listening to various rap artists and Jamaican music. His father, a rapper, encouraged him to write his own raps. In 2013, Goulbourne met XXXTentacion in juvenile detention, where they became friends and frequent collaborators.
Career
After his release from detention, Ski Mask the Slump God formed “Very Rare” with XXXTentacion and released his debut song “Catch Me” on SoundCloud. He then co-founded Members Only, releasing several collaboration mixtapes and singles, including “Catch Me Outside” and “BabyWipe”. Ski Mask has performed at Rolling Loud Festival twice and collaborated with various artists, such as Offset, Lil Yachty, and Timbaland.
Ski Mask the Slump God released his debut mixtape, Drown in Designer, in May 2016, featuring “Take a Step Back” and “Where’s the Blow”.
