Personal Life

In August 2014, Adegbite and fellow actor Chris Attoh, whom she met on the set of Tinsel, got engaged.

Their joy was multiplied the following month when their son Brian was born. They tied the knot in a private ceremony in Accra, Ghana, on Valentine’s Day in 2015.

However, in September 2017, reports surfaced that their marriage had hit the rocks. Speculation arose when Adegbite removed Attoh’s surname from her social media profiles, unfollowed him on Instagram, and deleted all his photos. 

Hours later, Attoh confirmed in an interview that their marriage had ended.

Reason for her Marriage Failure

In an interview, Damilola Adegbite opened up about the reasons behind her divorce from Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh. She revealed that their marriage ended because love alone wasn’t sufficient to maintain their relationship.

She said: “Love is not enough. When you meet somebody, and you want to spend your life with them, love is just one of the qualities that you need. But it is not everything.”
